Responsibilities: 

As the Sr. QA and Customer Support Engineer your core responsibilities will be the following: Design, document, execute and maintain test plans for complex product functionality, participate in requirements review and technical design reviews and coordinate testing efforts with project managers, developers and end users.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform unit, functional, regression and performance tests.
• Create automated test tools for verification of software functionality.
• Log and follow up on defects and enhancements in the issue tracking system.
• Maintain testing documentation and scripts in an organized manner.
• Provide client support and technical issue resolution via email, phone and other electronic mediums.
• Identify and correct/advise on operational issues in client computer systems.
• Provide training to clients in the use of system and applications

Range of desired professional experience

• 5+ years of experience in a hands-on QA Engineer position and a solid understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience building software products that have been released to enterprise customers.
• Must have interacted directly with customers in a technical support role and be familiar with customer support organization work flows.
• Proficient with source code control tools such as svn, and cvs; as well as, UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Reuters RMDS, P2PS, Direct Exchange Feed handlers, Trade and Quote stores, smart order routing and other similar applications is desired.
• A technical degree, ideally in Mathematics or Computer Science
